Blue September is here

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, raising awareness of one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in men. Understanding risk factors, knowing family history, and having conversations about screening can help support early detection and better outcomes.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand is a charity that supports men, families and whānau affected by prostate cancer through free information, counselling, support groups and exercise programmes, while also funding NZ research and advocating for earlier detection and better care. They provide valued resources that help men navigate the path to diagnosis. Reform Radiology supports prostate imaging and treatment with advanced MRI, ultrasound, PSMA PET-CT and radioligand therapies, helping New Zealand men access earlier diagnosis, more precise staging and targeted treatment to improve outcomes.

Throughout the month, we encourage New Zealanders to start conversations, look after their wellbeing, check in on their mates, and support a cause that affects families, workplaces and communities across the country. Donations help support the foundations initiatives. Every dollar raised helps power support, awareness, advocacy and research for better outcomes. Get involved today: blueseptember.org.nz
